Dear Students

GMU is conscious of the disruption caused by the pandemic Covid19 and we are following the regulations issued by the Ministry from time to time. We want to reassure you that we shall take care of your academic needs.

Please be informed that starting Sunday, March 22, 2020, online classes will begin in right earnest.  The primary point of contact for you will be the Office of the Dean of your college. Your Dean will communicate with you, batch-wise, through a webinar this week to discuss the way forward.  Necessary adjustments are being made in the Study Plan to meet your program outcomes.

To ensure your own safety and wellness, all students who have travelled outside the country are obliged to follow the travel advisory of the respective country as well as UAE.

Suspension of all on-campus activities

The Ministry of Education has directed suspension of all on-campus activities with effect from March 8, 2020 for a period of 4 weeks.

The period March 8 – 19, 2020 shall be considered as Spring break.  During the period from March 23 – April 2, 2020, all programs will continue to work with the students using distance learning modalities.

On-campus activities and Mid-Semester Examinations will begin on Sunday, April 5, 2020.  The examination dates shall be uploaded on Moodle.

The university with its faculty and staff is taking all measures to ensure your safety, and continuity of the educational process from home with the highest quality to serve your educational needs.

While this is a break for students, all administration and support service departments, including the Dean’s Office will continue to function normally. Please feel free to communicate with your instructors, mentors, academic advisors and the College administration, as needed.
