Institutional Accreditation
Gulf Medical University holds institutional accreditation from both national and international quality assurance bodies. Institutional accreditation is the highest level of recognition a university can achieve, providing formal assurance to students, graduates, employers, and regulatory authorities that GMU meets internationally benchmarked standards of academic quality, governance, research, and continuous improvement.
1: National Institutional Accreditation
Gulf Medical University is fully accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), the UAE Federal Government’s quality assurance agency for higher education under the Ministry of Education. The CAA is responsible for licensing higher education institutions and accrediting their academic programmes in the United Arab Emirates, ensuring that they meet rigorous nationally established standards.
CAA institutional accreditation confirms that GMU meets established national standards across all dimensions of university operations, including academic programme quality, governance and leadership, faculty qualifications and development, student support services, physical and digital learning resources, research output, and systems for continuous quality improvement.
