- Biomedical Sciences and Medical Laboratory programs: Merit based discounts available from 5 % to 15 % based on high school marks 75 % and above as per the UAE education system.
- Dentistry program: Merit Based discounts available from 5 % to 10 % based on high school marks 85 % and above as per the UAE education system.
- Pharmacy program: Merit based discounts available from 15 % to 20 % based on high school marks 85 % and above as per the UAE education system.

- Merit discounts available varying for different programs for all graduates from 10 % to 40% subject to fulfilment of CGPA requirements.
- Employees working for Ministry of Health, Dubai Health Authority and Health Authority Abu Dhabi, Emirates Health Services, Ministry of Interior etc. are eligible for special discounts.
- GMU Alumni and Thumbay staff are eligible for special discounts up to 50%.

Gulf Medical University started a new scholarship as part of the NAFIS Programme that covers up to 100 percent of college tuition, registration and other fees for all eligible Emirati students, beginning with the admissions in September 2023.

The scholarships offered by Gulf Medical University cover 100 percent of the tuition fees for eight medical specializations, including Bachelor of Nursing Sciences, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Science in Anesthesia Technology, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Bachelor of Medical Imaging Sciences, dental assistant programme and a pharmacist assistant programme.
