The White Coat Ceremony marks the beginning of a nursing student’s journey into the health profession, symbolizing their commitment to compassion, respect, and patient care excellence.
The White Coat Ceremony 2023, was held on 14th September 2023, to welcome the incoming freshman class of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students. This event signifies the initiation of each student into the esteemed field of nursing.
Dr. Thumaby Moideen, President of Thumbay Group, Prof. Hossam Hamdy, Chancellor, Mr. Akbar Moideen, Vice President of Thumbay Group, Prof. Manada Vankataramana, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Selva Titus Chacko, Dean, extended their well-wishes for a prosperous nursing career to each student.
Ms. Athena Nicole Tivi (2023ns22) and Mr. Abdullah Saeed Alameeri (2023ns44) received their white coats on stage from the Honorable President, Dr. Thumbay Moideen on behalf of the 1st Year BSN students. The students donned their White coats which marked the induction to Nursing profession and reminded them about their duty to serve mankind.
The students took the Hippocratic Oath to foster professionalism, moral values, ethical principles and adhere to the Code of Conduct. The program was live streamed on GMU YouTube channel for parents and family. It was a proud moment for Gulf Medical University, students and parents.
