The Thumbay Institute of Clinical Simulation (TICS) at Gulf Medical University is a multidisciplinary educational facility that provides high-tech simulated and virtually created hospital set-up for clinical and communication skills teaching and training for all healthcare professionals. The GMU Simulation Center offers Training Programs & RCPE Online Courses to doctors, nurses and other health professionals. TICS is an AHA-accredited life support training site which offers BLS & ACLS courses regularly as well NAEMT Accredited training Site which offers PHTLS. TICS officially declared as an International centre to run MRCPUK PACES examination twice annually. TICS is a member of simulation related professional bodies like SESAM, ASPE, ASSH, SSH.

A state of art Medical Research Facility named Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine (TRIPM) the apex lab of Thumbay Labs was inaugurated on 13th January 2014 by His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council UAE & Ruler of Ajman and set up within the premises of the Gulf Medical University at Ajman, UAE.
TRIPM will focus its activities on comprehensive, translational research and personalized medicine. TRIPM has three main areas of function – Clinical Research, High Complexity Laboratory Testing for super-specialities and Statistical Support for analysis of clinical research data and for the generation of evidence-based clinical practice. We are building the most favorable environment for investigators and teams at the level of science, structure and equipment in order to make the TRIPM the most suitable environment for research and diagnosis and a challenging initiative for seamless collaboration between research, education, healthcare and industry.
GMU Library is a modern facility which is part of Medi City encompassing University complex and other Clinical Facilities (Academic Hospital, Dental Hospital, and Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Hospital). The facility has all the resources provided for students and faculty for learning and research purposes. The library has access to a large variety of learning resources such as Books, Journals, Online database etc.
To cater to the information requirement of Faculty members, students and researchers we have a growing collection of 9,000 books and 2350 International Journals. In keeping with the modern trends in the Information Technology, we offer our services through a fully automated Library with computerized Library services and also provide access to several online databases, e-books & e-journals. Free access to Internet & Intranet is available to all students and faculty members of GMU community.
The state-of-the-art GMU Testing Center is the latest addition to the expanding facilities at Gulf Medical University. Designed to facilitate examinations, placement tests, and various other assessments, the centre features a sophisticated technical infrastructure and can accommodate up to 230 participants.
To ensure compliance with international testing standards, each examination hall is equipped with biometric scanning systems for both faculty and students and is monitored through an extensive network of CCTV cameras, providing comprehensive support to invigilators. For the convenience of students, secure locker facilities are available for storing personal belongings, as no items or articles are permitted inside the testing halls.
The centre also includes a dedicated data processing room for post-test score analysis and a central valuation room, where examiners can efficiently and securely evaluate paper-based assessments.
GMU campus hosts many facilities for its students, which make it one of the most vibrant campuses in the region.
