Center for Advanced Simulation in Healthcare (C.A.S.H)

The Center for Advanced Simulation in Healthcare (CASH) at Gulf Medical University is a multidisciplinary educational facility that provides high-tech simulated hospital set-up for clinical and communication skills teaching and training for all healthcare professionals. The GMU Simulation Center offers Training Programs to doctors, nurses and other health professionals. CASH is an AHA-accredited life support training site which offers BLS & ACLS courses regularly. The center conducts the MEDSIM OLYMPICS annually as a part of Recent Trends in clinical skills and simulation providing a portal for healthcare professionals to showcase their life-saving skills. CASH is a member of simulation related professional bodies like SESAM, ASPHM.

Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine (TRIPM)

A state of art Medical Research Facility named Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine (TRIPM) the apex lab of Thumbay Labs was inaugurated on 13th January 2014 by His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council UAE & Ruler of Ajman and set up within the premises of the Gulf Medical University at Ajman, UAE.

TRIPM will focus its activities on comprehensive, translational research and personalized medicine. TRIPM has three main areas of function – Clinical Research, High Complexity Laboratory Testing for super-specialities and Statistical Support for analysis of clinical research data and for the generation of evidence-based clinical practice. We are building the most favorable environment for investigators and teams at the level of science, structure and equipment in order to make the TRIPM the most suitable environment for research and diagnosis and a challenging initiative for seamless collaboration between research, education, healthcare and industry.

GMU Library

GMU Library is a modern facility which is part of Medi City encompassing University complex and other Clinical Facilities (Academic Hospital, Dental Hospital, and Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Hospital). The facility has all the resources provided for students and faculty for learning and research purposes. The library has access to a large variety of learning resources such as Books, Journals, Online database etc.

To cater to the information requirement of Faculty members, students and researchers we have a growing collection of 9,000 books and  2350 International Journals. In keeping with the modern trends in the Information Technology, we offer our services through a fully automated Library with computerized Library services and also provide access to several online databases, e-books & e-journals. Free access to Internet & Intranet is available to all students and faculty members of GMU community.

Testing Centre

The state-of-the-art GMU testing centre is the latest addition to the ever-growing facilities of Gulf Medical University. This new unit is capable of accommodating placement tests, examinations or any other form of testing through a sophisticated technical set-up. With a capacity of holding up to 88 participants, the centre has all modern facilities. To meet the standards required for international testing regulations, invigilators are supported with an adequate number of CCTV cameras in each testing halls. The testing centre has a data processing room where post-test analysis of scores could be done or the central valuation room for the examiners to value paper-based tests.

Campus & Other Facilities:

GMU campus hosts many facilities for its students, which make it one of the most vibrant campuses in the region. The campus is provided with Gym and Spa under the flagship of Body and Soul brand from Thumbay group. The Terrace restaurant and Blends & Brews Coffee Shoppe from Thumbay group functions within the GMU campus catering world’s finest culinary and hospitality experience. The best in class facilities to play cricket, soccer, tennis, basketball, table tennis etc are provided within the GMU campus. The annual sports meet offers an opportunity for the students to prove their sporting talents.
