Your Gateway to a Medical Career – at Gulf Medical University and Beyond
The International Medical Foundation Program (IMFP) at Gulf Medical University (GMU) is a comprehensive and academically rigorous program designed to prepare students for successful entry into medical and health-related degree programs. It is tailored for students aspiring to pursue higher education either at GMU or at leading international institutions offering English-taught medical and health sciences programs in the UK, USA, and UAE.
The IMFP is a 10-month, credit-bearing program designed for recent high school graduates. It includes courses in basic science subjects essential for pre-medical curriculum, along with English.
Students must successfully complete all academic courses face to face in both the Fall and Spring semesters to graduate from the program. All courses include continuous assessment and end-of-semester examinations.
Upon successful completion, students are awarded a “Certificate of Completion” from Gulf Medical University. The subjects in the IMFP will not be factored into the GPA calculation for a subsequent degree program.
Those who meet the progression requirements are eligible to advance to top-tier universities such as:
- Gulf Medical University (GMU), UAE
- University of Lancashire (ULan), UK
- Medical University of the Americas (MUA), Pathway to the US
- Tailored for Diverse Student Needs – Ideal for students who are:
- Not directly eligible for the Doctor of Medicine program at GMU due to inadequate scores
