The Student Nurses Club (SNC) is comprised of Nursing Majors and those interested in the Profession of Nursing. SNC works to provide opportunity for personal, intellectual, professional and social growth of its members. Each nursing student is encouraged to cultivate leadership skills within the SNC.
With this purpose in view, the Student Nurses Club (SNC) was inaugurated in the College of Nursing, GMU, on Thursday 9th December 2021 at Lecture Hall 3, in the presence of Prof. Selva Titus Chacko, Dean-CON, all the Faculty and students from the all the 4 batches.
Ms. Reena Oudin, President of SNC, welcomed the students and briefed about the Program schedule, and invited the Dean to start the inauguration of SNC.
Prof. Selva Titus Chacko reported that SNC will function as a wing of the College of Nursing, Gulf Medical University and presented the Term of Reference, composition of the Executive Members of the Student Nurses Club, their responsibilities, and the scope of SNC activities [Link].
The Dean, College of Nursing is the Patron of the Club, a faculty member will be the SNC advisor and two others (One Faculty In-charge of Curricular activities & One Faculty In- charge – Cultural, Sports & Extra-curricular & Co-Curricular activities) will assist the SNC advisor & the Dean.

This was followed by cutting the cake with the Executive Members of the Student Nurses Club and the faculty as well as the students.
Ms. Reena invited the Executive Members of the Student Nurses Club to share their experience from different batches.
Mr. Fahmi Twahir Said, an executive member invited the BSN Semester 1 students to introduce themselves followed by giving them a welcome kit.
At the end Prof. Selva Titus Chacko, Dean, expressed her happiness on behalf of the college on the inauguration of SNC, encouraged all students from different batches to be engaged with each other and wished them the very best for the future activities.
