Ms. Ayda Shah Mahmood graduated with honors from Gulf Medical University in 2020 with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. With interests in the molecular basis of disease, Ayda’s undergraduate research project focused on the role of effect of p53 in breast cancer. Specifically, Ms. Ayda addressed the reactivation of p53 in p53 mutant breast cancer cells. In 2020, she joined the Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine (TRIPM) as a research intern. Her work focussed on the role of evofosfamide on the Natural Killer cell mediated cytotoxic effect on breast cancer cell lines grown in hypoxia. In 2022, Ayda joined the team at the Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine (TRIPM) as a coordinator.
