Dr. Shabaz Mohiuddin Gulam is a clinical pharmacy expert, academician and researcher specializing in infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship. Currently serving as a Lecturer and Preceptor at the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University, UAE, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of pharmacy professionals through clinical rotations and teaching courses in Clinical Pharmacy Practice, Infectious Diseases, and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Shabaz has an extensive scholarly portfolio with over 20 publications in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals, focusing on antimicrobial stewardship, infectious diseases, clinical pharmacy, and pharmacy education.
Beyond academia, Dr. Shabaz is actively engaged in clinical practice as the Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at Thumbay University Hospital, UAE. He holds key leadership positions, serving as the Member Secretary of the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee, and as a member of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee and the Infection Control and Prevention Committee at Thumbay University Hospital.
