Dr. Vineetha Menon
Dr. Vineetha Menon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Gulf Medical University, UAE. She earned her Pharm.D. and Ph.D. in Pharmacy Practice from JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, India, and also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacovigilance. After completing her studies, she began her academic career as a Lecturer at Monash University, Malaysia.
Dr. Menon’s research focuses primarily on geriatric pharmacotherapy, optimizing medication use and safety in elderly patients. Her work includes deprescribing initiatives, addressing polypharmacy-related risks, and developing and evaluating medication safety strategies to enhance patient outcomes and minimize adverse drug reactions. In addition to her work on medication safety, she explores the impact of medications on falls and cognitive decline, contributing to evidence-based strategies for better geriatric care. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at international conferences.
