Dr. Soney M. Varghese serves as an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, Gulf Medical University, Ajman, UAE, a position she has held since 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s degree in nursing from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai, India. She earned her PhD in Nursing from Annamalai University, Chennai, India. She has been awarded the Fellowship by Examination from the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), in recognition of her professional excellence.

Dr. Soney M Varghese’s academic and research expertise is centred on population health, with specific focus areas including non-communicable diseases, elderly care, and school health.  She has conducted and participated in numerous national and international conferences and workshops, contributing significantly to the advancement of nursing science. Her scholarly work includes several publications in peer-reviewed, indexed national and international journals, and she has received commendations for her research contributions.

Dr. Soney M Varghese is also dedicated to promoting innovative teaching and learning methodologies aimed at enhancing student engagement, academic performance, and professional development.
