Dr. Masani Abdelbagi Ahmed Elmahdy, is working as Assistant Professor, holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2010), a Master of Science in Maternal and Child Health Nursing (2014), and a PhD in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing (2020), all from the University of Khartoum, Sudan.

During her undergraduate studies, she was consistently recognized for academic excellence, receiving multiple awards from the Faculty of Nursing Sciences, including Best Academic Performer in Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Community Nursing, and Obstetrical & Gynaecological Nursing (2008 & 2010), and Second-Best Academic Performer in 2009.

With 13 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Dr. Masani is a dedicated academic, educator, and researcher in the field of Women’s Health and Welfare. She has served  as the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing Department at the University of Khartoum, a position she has held for two years. In addition to her teaching, she is actively involved in clinical instruction, student mentoring, and guiding PhD, Master’s, and undergraduate research.

She has contributed significantly to curriculum development, revision, and updates in various governmental and private nursing institutions across Sudan. Dr. Masani has also participated in designing the National Nurse Licensure Examination for the Sudan National Council for Medical and Health Professionals and served as an external examiner for final-year nursing students.

Her leadership and academic involvement extend to serving on multiple institutional committees, including the Nursing Research Committee, enhancing both educational quality and research capacity in the nursing profession in Sudan.
