The UAE Pharmacy Students Federation (UPSF) – GMU Chapter has officially commenced its new mandate. To mark the beginning of this term, the executive committee has begun delivering introductory presentations to all pharmacy cohorts.
These sessions introduced students to the newly established federation and the GMU chapter’s role within it, while also highlighting a significant milestone: the chapter’s joint full membership under the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF). With this achievement, GMU students now have access to a wide range of international opportunities, including participation in IPSF committees, global campaigns, exchange programs, and leadership roles on the international stage.

In addition, students were introduced to the different membership categories, including associate and full membership, and gained insight into the various committees available for full members. These committees are aligned with the executive positions of President, Secretary General, Student Exchange Officer (SEO), Internal Relations Officer, Projects Officer, Public Relations Officer, Media & Publication Officer, and Treasurer. The presentations emphasized the importance of active engagement, encouraging students to take advantage of the resources and opportunities available through both UPSF and IPSF.
With the mandate officially underway, the UPSF GMU Chapter is preparing to host its first event on 22nd September 2025, marking the beginning of an engaging and productive year. The chapter remains committed to fostering leadership, professional development, and collaborative growth among all pharmacy and health students at GMU while strengthening their integration into the global pharmaceutical student community.
