Student-Led Orientation Sessions for Peer-Assisted Learning and Mentorship Program at the College of Pharmacy

From October 7th to October 11th, the Student Happiness Center at the College of Pharmacy hosted an exciting orientation week, led by enthusiastic student members of the Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) and Mentorship programs. This initiative welcomed students from the 1st through 4th year, providing them with valuable insights into the opportunities offered by these collaborative academic programs.

During the PAL orientation, members outlined the program’s objectives, emphasizing the importance of academic collaboration and peer tutoring. They provided a comprehensive presentation highlighting the benefits of becoming a PAL tutor, including enhanced academic performance, leadership skill development, and the strengthening of student support networks.

In addition to the PAL orientation, members of the mentorship committee, conducted sessions for all pharmacy programs. Their presentations underscored the significance of mentorship and outlined the steps to ensure that these meetings yield maximum benefits for all participants.
