As part of the proceedings of the 3rd International Conference “Innovative Pharmaceutical Horizons: Bridging Science, Education, and Green Practices” held at Newgiza University, Egypt, a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (GMU), UAE, and the School of Pharmacy, Newgiza University (NGU), Egypt.

The MoU was signed by Professor Muhammad Al-Shorbagy, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at GMU, and Professor Manal Maher, Dean of the School of Pharmacy at NGU. This agreement reflects a mutual commitment to advance pharmacy education, research, and professional development across borders.
The partnership covers student exchange, joint research activities, and co-hosting academic events—strengthening educational, training, and research excellence across both institutions. This MoU will foster academic mobility, enhance research output, and expand both institutions’ regional and global academic presence through impactful collaboration.
This signing reinforces GMU’s College of Pharmacy vision to position itself as a regional hub of academic excellence, aligned with GMU’s integrated Academic Health System model. It also builds on NGU’s legacy of academic partnerships through its collaboration with University College London (UCL), bringing global perspectives into the region.
We look forward to a vibrant and fruitful collaboration as we continue to advance pharmacy education and shape the future of healthcare.
