On May 22, 2022, Thumbay University Hospital conducted a free health check camp for over 6000 patients from 40 different nationalities. The mega health camp offered screening services such as point of care testing, laboratory investigations, imaging services, free medicines and medical and medication counseling services. In addition to this, the camp offered rehabilitation and physician consultations.
Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) and Year 4 Students from the College of Pharmacy volunteered throughout the camp under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. They dispensed prescribed medications, interviewed patients and provided appropriate counseling services.
