
Gulf Medical University (GMU) organized a Workshop on Parenteral Nutrition Therapy in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi on September 18, 2018. The workshop was attended by PharmD students, pharmacists from Thumbay Hospital Ajman and others.
Dr. Osama Tabbara, Executive Director, Department of Pharmacy Services, Cleveland Clinic, Abu Dhabi, UAE was the lead resource person. Dr. Tabbara covered clinical solutions to practical issues in Parenteral Nutrition (PN) therapy. The safe and effective use of PN ordering, preparation, and administration included laboratory data monitoring, physical assessment, and quality control. The PN workshop was accredited for CME hours by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). This is the 3rd continuing professional development educational event conducted by the College of Pharmacy at GMU in 2018.
