On Friday, January 31, 2025, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University hosted a career advising session on “Mastering Interview Skills”. The session attended by GMU pharmacy students, alumni from various programs, and visiting students from the University of Ottawa as part of a student exchange program.
The event featured Mr. Burhanuddeen Shibli, HR Manager for the Middle East at Tabuk Pharmaceuticals. Holding 14 years of experience in effective and innovative HR leadership positions with various corporations in Middle East, he focuses on bringing change and development to the organization’s capability through the alignments of HR and business strategies; working on all spectrums of HR.

During the session, Mr. Burhan provided invaluable insights into mastering interview techniques, covering key aspects such as: crafting impactful responses to common interview questions, the power of body language and first impressions, and navigating behavioural and competency-based interviews.
The workshop included an interactive presentation and hands-on roleplays, allowing participants to practice and refine their skills in a supportive setting.
