On February 17, 2024, the Pharmacy Career Conference, organized by Professionals Regulatory Affairs (PRA) Consultancy, brought together professionals from diverse pharmacy fields at the Al Qasba Theatre in Sharjah. This all-encompassing event, attended by students from the College of Pharmacy, served as a platform for experts to disseminate knowledge and insights across critical domains, including critical care, automation, regulatory affairs, academia, forensic sciences, and marketing.
With a diverse range of speakers and topics, the Pharmacy Career Conference provided a valuable platform for attendees to explore the many facets of the pharmacy profession.
One of the notable sessions featured Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, a Clinical Lecturer at the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University, and a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at Thumbay University Hospital. Dr. El Ouweini delivered a talk that showcased the unique role of critical care pharmacists in optimizing medication therapy and improving clinical outcomes. The session also delved into the skills, knowledge, and experiences essential for excelling in the dynamic field of critical care pharmacy practice.
