Gulf Medical University signs an MOU with UAE National Anti-Doping Committee

On December 22, 2020, Gulf Medical University signed an MOU with UAE National Anti-Doping Committee. Experts from the UAE National Anti-Doping Committee are already teaching in ‘Drugs in Sport’ course of the PharmD program. The collaborative agreement is expected to provide students with opportunities to have hands-on training and volunteer opportunities on anti-doping activities in the UAE. The partnership is also expected to create collaborative research and certificate courses for athletes and healthcare professionals.

Vice Chancellor for Quality & Global Engagement and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Sherief Khalifa commented: This is a strategic partnership that is expected to expand the scope of pharmacy practice in the country to better serve athletes in competitive and non-competitive sports. This collaborative agreement is mutually beneficial in strengthening anti-doping efforts and building a healthier sports community.
