On April 7th, 2021, Reham Khaled Abu Hijjleh, Master of Science in Drug Discovery and Development student, and Teaching Assistant, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, GMU participated in DUPHAT 2021, by professional poster “Anti-Cancer Activity of the Marine Metabolite Terrein using Three-Dimensional Cell Culture Model under Normoxic and Hypoxic Conditions”. The professional poster demonstrated the effect of terrein against different colorectal cancer cell lines in comparison to commercially available anti-cancer drugs like gemcitabine under different conditions using various models.

This project is in collaboration with Ms. Dalia Al Saeedy, Master of Science in Drug Discovery and Development student, and is under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Al-Abd, Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, GMU.
