On May 26, 2022, Gulf Medical University hosted a webinar by Dr. Kelly Lockeman, Virginia Commonwealth University (VC): “Strategies for Maximizing the Impact of an Interprofessional Journal Club”. Dr. Lockeman is an Associate Professor at the VCU School of Medicine. The webinar was organized by the Center for Interprofessional Education, Research and Practice at GMU. Participants from different health professions and different academic institutions attended the webinar.
Vice Chancellor for Quality and Global Engagement and Dean College of Pharmacy Prof. Sherief Khalifa commented: “Our relationship with VCU includes student exchange in APPE, summer research internships and more recently, interprofessional education collaborative initiatives at the international level.
