GMU’s Dr. Seeba Zachariah is now Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS)

As the results of Fall 2020 Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certifications unfold, College of Pharmacy Gulf Medical University congratulates Dr. Seeba Zachariah for passing Pharmacotherapy certification exam.  This is an important milestone as it represents the vision of the college of Pharmacy to advance in pharmacy practice in the region along with excellence in teaching through certifications.

Board certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (a division of the American Pharmacists Association) is recognized as the gold standard for determining which pharmacists are qualified to contribute at advanced practice levels. Dr. Seeba is involved in precepting PharmD Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students and Master in Clinical Pharmacy interns at Thumbay University Hospital. This certification reiterates the quality of practitioners involved in the training of students at GMU.

Dean, Prof. Sherief Khalifa commented that this certification is an achievement that motivates all of us to exert more effort and take a step forward. He urged all the pharmacy practitioners at the GMU Academic Health System to set board certification as the next goal and achieve it, because we can.

Dr. Seeba thanked Prof. Sherief Khalifa for the constant encouragement, motivation and support in making this achievement.
