On October 27, 2021, Dean and Vice Chancellor for Quality & Global Engagement at Gulf Medical University was a member of an international panel of experts as part of the “Teaching Excellence in Pharmacy Education – Advanced Pharmacy Program”. The session focused on strategic approach to change, competency-based pharmacy and assessment.

The program was tailored to the faculty of pharmacy at Ain Shams University. Ain Shams is taking the lead among other colleges of pharmacy in Egypt to improve the quality of their pharmacy program through international accreditation.
The program is sponsored by Egyptian Knowledge Bank (a national initiative aimed to build Egypt’s knowledge economy by providing Egyptians with the tools, content, and training) and organized by Knowledge E in collaboration with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Knowledge E is an international service and products provider specializing in supporting academia across the MENA region.
Dean Khalifa commented: “It is great to see Ain Shams University taking the lead to improve pharmacy education in Egypt.
