In a groundbreaking initiative to enhance the soft skills of pharmacy students globally, Gulf Medical University College of Pharmacy teamed up with IVPN-Students Listserv in delivering a comprehensive virtual training program. As part of this endeavor, a highly anticipated webinar titled “Self-Branding and Marketing” was delivered by 2 speakers, Dr. Mohamad Hamdy, a Pharmacist and Brand Identity and Website Developer in Egypt, and Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, Clinical Lecturer, College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University and Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist, Thumbay University Hospital. The webinar aimed to equip aspiring pharmacists and pharmacy students with the tools and knowledge to effectively showcase their professional identity and make a lasting impact in the competitive world of pharmacy. Under the title “Self-Branding and Marketing,” the webinar covered essential aspects of personal branding and marketing strategies for the young generation in the pharmaceutical field. The session commenced with emphasis on the importance of making a strong first impression. Attendees learned about the key elements that contribute to creating a positive impact during initial encounters. Dr. El Ouweini provided valuable tips on mastering body language, effective communication, and projecting confidence to leave a memorable impression on colleagues, clients, and employers.
