Gulf Medical University’s 2021 cohort of PharmD students started their advanced pharmacy practice experience

Ajman, UAE — August 25, 2025 Gulf Medical University (GMU) marked a pivotal milestone today as final-year PharmD students gathered for their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Orientation Day at Thumbay University Hospital. The students started their 10-month journey into real-world clinical practice.

The orientation welcomed students into the final phase of their PharmD program, designed to transform academic knowledge into hands-on expertise across diverse healthcare settings. The APPE curriculum spans six mandatory and four elective rotations ensuring graduates emerge as practice-ready pharmacists equipped to meet the evolving demands of patient-centered care.
