College of Pharmacy students worked with Dulsco, manpower and HR solutions company and Thumbay University Hospital to deliver free health assessment and counselling on the 14th of November which marks World Diabetes Day 2021. The health assessment was one of the series of diabetes day events that consisted of blood pressure check-up, BMI assessment and health assessment of employees with personalized counselling.

Victor Olaitan, a 4th year PharmD student commented “We were able to interact with the employees and offer them our knowledge and care following the control of the pandemic. It was a great experience of community service and I’m looking forward to interacting with the community more in my upcoming APPE (Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience).”

Jameez, an MCP student and PharmD Alumni commented “As a professional facing the real world, I understand how common the disease is in our community thus the importance of today’s engagement. Through the outreach today I learned ways to improve myself in my everyday practice on dealing with diabetes”.
