GMU Pharmacy Students’ Association (GPSA) Presents at IPSF Policy and Advocacy Webinar

The GMU Pharmacy Students’ Association (GPSA) proudly participated in the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) Policy and Advocacy Webinar Series 2025 which brought together pharmacy students from across the world to explore the dynamic intersection between policy and advocacy, sharing practical strategies to drive change in healthcare.

The speakers, which included Nikita Sunil Binu, a 4th year PharmD student and the President of GPSA-UAE, highlighted their accomplishments and key lessons learned in policy and advocacy. A moment of pride for GPSA-UAE was the global presentation of the inaugural policy statement on “Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.”, presented by Nikita Sunil Binu, President of GPSA-UAE.  This marked the first policy statement released by a pharmacy student association in the UAE.

GPSA extends heartfelt appreciation to the IPSF Policy Committee team for the opportunity to contribute. Special thanks go to Krisha Shah and Salsabel Alrawi, GPSA’s dedicated Policy Committee Members, for their instrumental role in developing the statement.

This experience not only showcased GPSA’s commitment to advocacy but also emphasized the importance of collaboration and student leadership in shaping the future of pharmacy and public health.
