GMU Pharmacy Site Visit to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Ajman

On February 7, 2025, Prof. Dixon Thomas and Dr. Omaimah Toufiq from the GMU College of Pharmacy visited Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Ajman (SKMCA) for a site follow-up. This visit was part of a continuous collaboration aimed at supporting pharmacy students during their rotations. Through these rotations, students actively participate in pharmacy operations, helping them develop essential skills and a solid foundation for their future careers in pharmacy practice.

To further enrich the students’ learning experience, site preceptors at SKMCA benefit from ongoing professional development, access to valuable practice resources, and various career growth opportunities provided by Gulf Medical University. These initiatives are designed to enhance the overall quality of pharmacy education and bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. The structured support system ensures that students receive comprehensive training, equipping them with the competencies needed for effective pharmacy practice.

Gulf Medical University expresses its deep appreciation to the HOD – Pharmacist In Charge Dr. Fatima Ali Hussain M. Alshaali and preceptors at SKMCA for their commitment to providing high-quality training and mentorship to students. Their continuous guidance plays a crucial role in shaping future pharmacists by fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. This collaboration between GMU and SKMCA remains vital in advancing pharmacy education and preparing students for successful careers in healthcare.
