GMU Pharmacy Post-graduate Students Participate in Hands-on Injection Administration Technique Training

On May 3, 2024, GMU Master of Clinical Pharmacy and Post-graduate PharmD students participated in a Hands-on Training on Injection Administration Techniques via the Intramuscular, Subcutaneous, Intradermal, and Intravenous routes of administration. They also learned how to establish an IV line in different patient populations. This training session was delivered by Ms. Sandhya Arun, the Training Manager for Simulation at the Center for Advanced Simulation in Healthcare (CASH) at Gulf Medical University. This training is important to prepare these pharmacists to be practice-ready for community vaccination, hospital care and other healthcare settings, as they represent an integral part of the healthcare team.
