Vice Chancellor for Quality and Global Engagement and Dean College of Pharmacy Prof. Sherief Khalifa commented: “Collaboration between GMU Colleges of Pharmacy and Nursing was very valuable as it brought together the different expertise and the sharing of complementary knowledge and skills with the ultimate goal to provide the best possible care for our patients. This collaboration was for sure a role model approach for our students to see first-hand the value of working together across different healthcare professions. Our next step is a collaborative project with IVPN network and the American Pharmacist Association to strengthen the advocacy and local capacity building in vaccination training for pharmacists. We expect that soon pharmacist in UAE will fully engage in all types of immunizations”.
