In a landmark event, Gulf Medical University’s College of Pharmacy proudly convened the 7th Regional Pharmacy Faculty Development Workshop on January 13-14, 2024. This distinguished gathering, co-organized by CAA, ACPE, and AACP, saw an unprecedented assembly of delegates from 26 colleges across seven countries. The workshop, a vanguard of pharmacy education and assessment discourse, featured luminaries such as Professor Jan Engle; the ACPE executive director, Professor Melissa Medina, Dr. Sarah Shrader, Prof. Craig Cox, and ACPE’s International Services Director, Michael Rouse. They led a robust exchange of insights and best practices, particularly in educational assessment. Highlighted by participant-led abstracts and poster presentations, the workshop illuminated diverse assessment approaches and shared challenges. Networking activities sparked dynamic discussions, seeding future collaborations. Charged with innovative strategies, attendees departed with renewed vigor to elevate assessment standards within their institutions.
