On Wednesday May 15th, the GMU-IVPN Students’ Club, organized an event in commemoration of World No Tobacco Day! The club team gathered, united by their shared passion for health advocacy and community empowerment. With an array of captivating activities and insightful discussions, the event was further enhanced by informational posters about the risks and consequences of tobacco dependence on the community health. The team provided to other GMU students comprehensive insights and actionable steps to support a tobacco-free lifestyle. Such community engagement co-curricular activities foster student growth and development. In addition, these events help to develop student leadership skills through service-learning and volunteer opportunities. This event adds to the portfolio of activities/services carried out by the GMU-IVPN student club under the public health portfolio.
