On August 10th 2024, GMU-IVPN Student Club representatives, Sarah Elkhawag – a 5th year PharmD student and the club’s president and Fatima Al Lawandi – a recent PharmD graduate and the club’s Joint Event Officer, had the honour of speaking in the online session titled “From Inspiration to Action: Exploring Opportunities with IVPN-Network and IVPN Student Clubs.” This event brought together representatives from five universities across the region that established IVPN Student Clubs in their colleges of pharmacy, including GMU College of Pharmacy, to share insights, experiences, and future goals and areas of collaboration to maximize the impact of the IVPN network on their students.
During their presentation that was attended by more than 80 pharmacy students across the region, Sarah and Fatima highlighted the club’s current activities, ongoing projects, and the exciting horizons the club is exploring in the next academic year. Their presentation emphasized the value of collaboration and the importance of staying connected within the global IVPN network.
