Two PharmD Students (Keerthana Selvaragu and Dilna Fathima) who took part in the recent breast cancer awareness program organized by college of pharmacy at Thumbay University Hospital, this month were invited guest speakers by Y’s Men’s Club and gave a virtual talk on breast cancer on October 29, 2021.

The students gave a virtual talk on breast cancer to a group of women during breast cancer awareness program. The presentation aimed to promote awareness about breast cancer among the group of women. Additional leaflets and videos prepared by GMU students, that describe risk factors, early signs, techniques of self-assessment and the importance of regular checkups and mammography for early detection were shared with audience.
Y’s Men’s club is a member of global non-government organization. Y’s Men’s Clubs, also known widely as Y’s Service Clubs, are community service clubs for both men and women. All Y’s Men Clubs across the globe are partners with the YMCAs in their cities and towns. The organization aims to bring about positive sustainable changes to the community by engaging in activities that can better the world for all human kind. College of pharmacy of Gulf Medical University looks forward to continue collaboration with Y’s men Club in Ajman to advocate for better health for the community.
