GMU College of Pharmacy Opens New Horizons for its Students and Graduates

On August 15, 2022, the Abbott Pharmaceuticals ® team visited GMU College of Pharmacy to interview potential candidates for 3-months internships as medical sales interns at the pharmaceuticals division of the company. Abbott, through this internship program, is on the lookout for young talents who are passionate about developing their professional and personal skillset in the industry marketplace. This internship program is brought to action in collaboration with IVPN-Network, an ongoing partner to GMU COP. On this day, Dr. Ahmed Abouelazm, The Head of Distribution and Trade and Ms. Diana Nelson, the Talent Acquisition Specialist at represented Abbott. Additionally, Dr. Osama Tabbara, the founding president of IVPN-Network was among the panelists who interviewed the 5 candidates for this internship. Prior to the interview day, the candidates, who are last year PharmD students, have gone through rigorous mentorship and training by GMU COP faculty to improve their CV writing, presentation and interview skills. GMU COP continues to provide its students with unique opportunities from world-class partners and experts in order to advance their career upon graduation and beyond.
