On October 28, 2021, Gulf Medical University (GMU) College of Pharmacy (COP) launched the GMU-IVPN Student Club. Part of the mission of this club is to encourage PharmD students to take advantage of the endless opportunities to build their leadership skills and open doors for networking with professional pharmacy practitioners, administrators and pharmacy professors around the globe. Skill building opportunities include pharmacy practice, evidence-based pharmacy, mentorship and many others.

IVPN was founded as a listserv in 2012 with the intention of transferring knowledge of Intravenous (IV) and Parenteral Nutrition (PN) therapy & compounding. IVPN-Network entrepreneurship expanded over the years beyond IV & PN to cover all aspects of pharmacy practice, leadership & research. In July 2020, IVPN-Network started offering additional services and programs intended to reshape and transform the pharmacy practice in our region and beyond.
