GMU College of Pharmacy Faculty Present Research at the Pharmacy Education, Science, and Practice (PESP) Conference 2025 at Qatar University

The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University proudly participated in the Pharmacy Education, Science, and Practice Conference 2025, held at Qatar University – College of Pharmacy. The prestigious event brought together leading pharmacy educators, researchers, and practitioners from the region and beyond to share innovative approaches in pharmacy education and practice.

Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, Clinical Lecturer and Critical Care Pharmacy Specialist at Gulf Medical University, delivered two oral presentations showcasing the College’s commitment to advancing pharmacy education and clinical research:

  • Impact of Pharmacist-led Intravenous to Oral Medications Conversion at an Intensive Care Unit: A Single-center, Prospective, Interventional Study
  • Prescribing Skills Assessment Utilization for Pharmacy Curriculum Improvement: The Gulf Medical University Experience

These presentations highlighted the university’s proactive integration of clinical innovations and competency-based assessment tools to enhance both patient care and pharmacy education outcomes.

In addition, Prof. Syed Wasif Gillani, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Pharmacy, presented during the conference, sharing valuable insights on academic strategy and educational reform in pharmacy curricula.
