The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University (GMU) continues its commitment to student-centric initiatives with recent focus groups aimed at raising awareness and enhancing the Peer-assisted learning platform and mentorship program.
Led by student members of the Student Happiness Center and Dr. Muhammed Abdullatif, Associate Professor of Pharmacology, College of Pharmacy, and Director of the Student Happiness Center, the focus groups were conducted with students in each batch to discuss and evaluate the effectiveness of the peer-assisted learning and mentorship programs. The sessions provided an invaluable opportunity for students to express their thoughts, share experiences, and contribute valuable feedback to further improve these programs.

The constructive feedback generated during the session will be taken into consideration as stakeholders at the college level convene to draft action plans aimed at optimizing the outcomes of these valuable programs.
Dr. Muhammed Abdullatif emphasized the significance of student involvement in shaping these initiatives, stating, “The collaborative efforts of our students and faculty are crucial in refining our educational programs. These focus groups not only allows students to voice their opinions but also ensure that their input plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of peer-assisted learning and mentorship at GMU’s College of Pharmacy.”
