In a bid to expand their practical knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, a group of Pharmacy students recently embarked on an enlightening journey to Julphar Industries, Ras al Khaimah. This educational visit offered an exclusive opportunity for students aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom learning and real-world industry practices.
The educational trip was organized by the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University and led by faculty members from the college. The students visited different manufacturing units including solid, liquid, and insulin plants at Julphar Industries. Students observed the meticulous procedures involved in the production of various pharmaceutical dosage forms, ranging from tablets to capsules, solutions and suspensions, production and purification of insulin, quality control measures, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Reflecting on their experience, pharmacy students expressed immense gratitude for the invaluable opportunity to witness pharmaceutical manufacturing processes firsthand. “It has provided us with a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in pharmaceutical production and reinforced the importance of adhering to strict quality standards” remarked Mohammad Wasim, Year-2 pharmacy students class representative.
This educational journey not only empowered students with practical insights but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the collaborative efforts between academia and industry in shaping the future of pharmacy professionals.
