On March 30, 2022, Dr. Sherief Khalifa was a keynote speaker at the 10th annual Ain Shams University International Conference. His presentation was under the following title: “Academic Leadership Perspective on Education”.
The presentation focused on the competency of teaching, the value of curiosity in learning, fostering innovation, believing in the younger generation and engaging the learner through thinking and doing. Faculty should continue to be learners in a way similar to students. They should go beyond “What” and ask, “How and Why”. The academic leadership should practice servant leadership, talk less and listen more and believe in quality as a never-ending pursuit.
