On March 8, 2021, Gulf Medical University Adjunct Professor Danial E. Baker of Washington State University (WSU) is awarded the topmost academic rank of Regents Professor at WSU. Prof. Baker is an Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy Practice at College of Pharmacy, GMU. The picture above shows Prof. Baker with his Drug Information Residents at WSU a few year back. Prof. Baker who already holds the J. Roberts and Marcia Fosberg Distinguished Professorship of Pharmacotherapy, became even more distinguished this week by being promoted to Regents Professor. The rank of Regents Professor can be held by no more than 30 WSU faculty members at any one time.

Vice Chancellor for Quality & Global Engagement and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Sherief Khalifa commented “Prof. Baker is contributing to the success of many GMU College of Pharmacy efforts in uplifting Pharmacy Practice. He is an advisor and a faculty to our students and interprofessional practitioners for their continuing education. GMU College of Pharmacy congratulated Prof. Baker for his promotion to Regents Professor.
