On Wednesday, January 11th, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University hosted a faculty development workshop titled: “Mydispense® Software for Pharmacy Skills Labs”.
The workshop was led by Dr. Vineetha Menon, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the College. During the workshop, Dr. Vineetha demonstrated the different activities that can be created within the software. The participants were instructed on how to create similar activities.
The workshop was hands-on and well-attended by newly joining faculty, preceptors and teaching assistants who showed much interest in learning more about how to utilize the software to enhance students’ learning in a simulated environment in a manner that can help them excel when they move to advanced experiential practice phase of the curriculum. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and get hands-on experience on variable options and scenarios which helped make them more comfortable with the software.
