May Gamal Mohamed, a Master of Clinical Pharmacy student at the College of Pharmacy, has won first place in the E-poster Competition at the 11th Annual GCC Pharmacy Congress, held from October 25 to 27, 2024, at the JW Marriott Marina in Dubai, UAE. Supervised by Dr. Diana Malaeb, May’s poster earned the top score among all submissions, underscoring the quality and originality of her research.

Her poster, titled “Assessing the Accuracy of Large Language Models in Detecting Drug-Drug Interactions: A Comparative Analysis of ChatGPT 4.0 and Gemini Advanced Against Lexicomp,” provided a cutting-edge examination of emerging technologies in healthcare. The prize recognized her outstanding contribution and the novelty of her findings.

This achievement reflects the high standards of both the student and faculty at the College of Pharmacy. The congress offered an important platform for faculty and students to engage with the latest innovations designed to improve healthcare outcomes and tackle the pressing challenges facing the pharmacy profession in the Gulf region.
