College of Pharmacy Faculty Shine at the 2nd Middle East Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy Forum in Dubai

The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University proudly marked a strong presence at the 2nd Middle East Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy Forum, held recently in Dubai. Faculty members contributed significantly to the scientific program, reinforcing the college’s regional leadership in clinical pharmacy education and research.

Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, Clinical Lecturer and Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist, participated as an invited speaker in a dynamic and evidence-based debate session on “Fluid Stewardship in the Cardiovascular ICU.” Dr. El Ouweini presented compelling arguments supporting a restrictive fluid management strategy.

In addition to this engaging clinical discussion, Dr. Diana Malaeb, Clinical Associate Professor and College Research Coordinator, delivered a well-received presentation titled “Clinical Research in Cardiovascular Diseases.” Her talk highlighted the vital role of pharmacy-led research in advancing therapeutic outcomes and optimizing patient care in cardiovascular medicine.

The forum provided an excellent platform for fostering professional dialogue, exploring the latest advances in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, and building new collaborations across the region. The College of Pharmacy is proud of its faculty’s active engagement and contribution to regional scientific discourse and looks forward to further opportunities that support its mission of innovation, leadership, and excellence in pharmacy practice and education.
