Gulf Medical University hosted its annual Career Fair on May 27, 2022. All the colleges at the university participated in the career fair which was attended by GMU students. College of pharmacy had major role in the fair and opted wot provide the best experience to the pharmacy students. Partners with the college of pharmacy participated in the career fair where they had opened job positions, and students had the opportunity to speak to representatives from MSD (Merck & Co.) pharmaceutical company, Al-Ain Groups of pharmacies, Z’Neem Groups of pharmacies, MPC group of pharmacies, and Thumbay University Hospital presented by the HR. Students from the 4th and 5th year PharmD program were able to network with potential employers, learn about job opportunities in our industry as well as learn about potential internship opportunities.
Yasser (5th Year student) commented: Personally, I particularly enjoyed the fact that we were able to get insight into the unofficial real-life requirements for many of these jobs.
Ruth (4th Year Student) commented: It was my first exposure to the market, and it was great to meet companies that I could work with in the future. It was a great opportunity for internships over the summer and I look forward to future activities like this.
