On January 30, 2021, College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University hosted a career counseling session for PharmD students as part of the career talk series in the “Own Your Future” program organized by the college of pharmacy student happiness center. The session was given by Dr. Hisham Farouk, Medical Director Respiratory & Immunology, AstraZeneca, International Region. During the session Dr. Hisham outlined the organizational structure of pharmaceutical companies’ scientific office highlighting the career opportunities in marketing, sales and medical department and the top emerging jobs in field. At the end of the session, Dr. Hisham discussed with the students how to make a strong presence in interviews and how to prepare for a successful interview.
