On February 13, 2021, Gulf Medical University hosted a career counseling session for, PharmD students as part of the ongoing weekly “Own Your Future” career counseling program organized by the college of pharmacy student happiness center. This week, the session was given by Dr. Suzan Shuman, Marketing Director, AstraZeneca. During the session, Dr. Suzan outlined different tools used for pharmaceutical market evaluation, marketing strategies drivers, and patient forecast models. PharmD students from various cohorts participated in the online career counseling session and now have a better understanding about the different career paths in pharmaceutical marketing. The more they know about the possible career choices that are available for them, the better they will be able to make the right decision about their future.
