On 12th April 2021, College of pharmacy students from the PharmD program and Master of Clinical Pharmacy attended a career counseling session with Mohamed Magoury, Director of Pharmacy Services at Fakeeh University Hospital in Dubai, and Pharmacy Informatics and Automation Head at Fakeeh Care group.
During the session, Dr. Magoury introduced the concept of pharmacy informatics, the role of informatics pharmacists, and the career pathways in pharmacy informatics and automation.
This was followed by an overview of pharmacy automation and last trends in pharmacy automation solutions in the hospital setting. At the end of the session, Dr. Magoury engaged with students in a discussion about the future of pharmacy automatics in the United Arab Emirates and the future career opportunities and challenges.
