The White Coat Ceremony 2022 was organized for freshman batch of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) on 30th September, 2022. This ceremony symbolizes entry of each student to this noble profession. It marks the official welcoming of students into the health profession and reminds each novice nursing student the importance of the virtues of compassion, respect, commitment, responsibility and accountability to be imbibed.
The President Thumbay Group, Dr. Thumaby Moideen, Chancellor, Prof. Hossam Hamdy, Vice President Thumbay Group, Mr. Akbar Moideen, Vice- Chancellor Prof. Manada Vankataramana, and Dean Prof. Selva Titus Chacko wished each student a blessed career ahead in Nursing.
Ms. Rawan Khalid and Mr. Abdullah Aldubai received their white coats on stage from the Honorable President, Dr. Thumbay Moideen on behalf of the 1st Year BSN students. The students donned their White coats which marked the induction to Nursing profession and reminded them about their duty to serve mankind.
The students took the Hippocratic Oath to foster professionalism, moral values, ethical principles and adhere to the Code of Conduct. The program was live streamed on GMU YouTube channel for parents and family. It was a proud moment for Gulf Medical University, students and parents.
